PDF24 Creator gets the job done, and it does so with minimal hassle. The program also works well on slower computers, which is always a nice bonus when comparing tools of this type. There are some PDF editors that offer more advanced features and a smoother interface, but when it comes to core functionality, PDF24 Creator stands out easily. The fact that PDF24 Creator is free helps it immediately stand out from its competition, and there is practically no tool that can stand up to what PDF24 has to offer at the same price. They do have contact options and encourage their users to make use of them, but you shouldn’t expect a speedy reply or any kind of priority treatment.
The developers have gone through a lot of effort compiling a help database that covers a large variety of topics, but if you get stuck and need actual human assistance, it can take a while to get a response. The one downside of being a free application is that you shouldn’t expect much in the way of customer support. A-PDF have not replied after 3 days, but they have sent me another of their newsletters! I complained to My Commence and also to A-PDF by email and also on their support links on websites. The My Commerce link enabled me to download the installation file but when installed it turned out to be version 2.2.2, was already registered with the same code as their trial version and would not work. The A-PDF link only took me back to the purchase page - useless. My Commerce also sent me a different link and a different registration code. A-PDF sent me an email with a link to download the instillation file and the registration code. Payment was made via Digital River company My Commerce. Finally, in desperation, I purchased the latest version (2.9.0) of Page Master. I got nothing but occasional newsletters espousing the the benefits of their software. Despite their claim of continuing free updates etc. When it failed to work with Windows 10 I requested support from them a number of times. Purchased Page Master from A-PDF some years ago.
